Previous Work

Week of April 4, 2016

Work for weeks of 4/4/16, 4/11/16 and 4/18/16 will include:

  • Reservoir: The contractor is continuing to test the reservoir for potential leaks. The contractor anticipates backfilling the reservoir starting on the south side of the reservoir as early as the week of 4/11/16. Once this work has begun, crews intend to work Saturdays in order to backfill the reservoir in a timely manner. Crews will continue to install reservoir access hatches and to correct minor flaws in the concrete.
  • Pump Station: Crews continue to install roofing, and to complete interior painting and other mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Pipeline & Utility Work: The in-street / off-site pipe work is complete with the exception of final testing of the waterline. Utility work will continue on-site / within the park the next couple of weeks once backfilling of the reservoir has begun and includes construction of sanitary sewer piping, storm water piping, site power conduit, and other utility conduits.
  • Landscaping / Site work: Crews are working to place concrete for the infiltration planter retaining walls on the west side of the park and other miscellaneous concrete curbs. Once the concrete planters are complete, site grading is expected to begin. Crews will begin removal of invasive species within the vegetated corridor and will begin planting trees in that area starting the week of 4/4/16.

Previous Work

Week of March 7, 2016

Work for weeks of 3/7/16, 3/14/16 and 3/21/16 will include:

  • Reservoir: Contractor has begun to test the reservoir for potential leaks. Once testing is complete the reservoir will be backfilled, so expect to see several trucks delivering rock to the site potentially beginning the week of 3/14/16. Crews will begin work to install reservoir hatches and to correct minor flaws in the concrete.
  • Pump Station: Crews continue to install roofing, and to complete other mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work inside the pump station.
  • Pipeline & Utility Work: The in-street / off-site pipe work is complete. Utility work will continue on-site / within the park the next couple of weeks and includes construction of sanitary sewer piping, storm water piping, site power conduit, and other utility conduits.
  • Landscaping / Site work: The concrete retaining wall near the pump station is complete. Crews will begin work on other site concrete work items including the infiltration planter retaining wall on the west side of the park and other concrete curbs.

Week of February 8, 2016

NOTE: Contractor is expected to begin paving on SW Melnore St. followed by SW Wilshire St., and SW Ardenwood St. as weather begins to improve. Monday and Tuesday 2/8-2/9 they expect to be paving along SW Melnore St.

Work for weeks of 2/8/16, 2/15/16 and 2/22/16 will include:

  • Reservoir: Contractor will continue to remove interior shoring with that work activity expected to be complete by 2/12/16. Other crews will continue working on interior piping, installing reservoir hatches and appurtenances, and correcting minor flaws in the concrete. Reservoir leakage testing will then follow.
  • Pump Station: Masonry work is nearing completion, with only minor items remaining. Other mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work inside the pump station will be on-going. Roofing work has begun and will continue through February.
  • Pipeline & Utility Work: Off-site work to install pipeline appurtenances is complete except for minor concrete work. Contractor is working to pressure test and sanitize the new water pipe. On site utility work will continue the next couple of weeks and includes sanitary sewer, storm water piping, water line pipe installation, and other utility conduits.
  • Landscaping / Site work: A concrete retaining wall will be formed and poured on the west side of the site over the next couple weeks. Work has begun to install the on-site drainage / infiltration ponds.

Paving update

Week of February 8, 2016

The contractor is expected to begin paving on SW Melnore St. followed by SW Ardenwood St., and SW Wilshire St. as weather begins to improve. Starting Tuesday (2/9/16) at 7:30 AM they expect to begin prepping and paving along SW Melnore St. They also intend to pave a large portion of SW Ardenwood St later that same day. Look for “NO PARKING” signs as we work to complete the paving in a timely manner. Thank you for your patience!
